Learn to Skydive
What is the Accelerated Free Fall (AFF) Program?
The Accelerated Free Fall Course is the best way to learn how to jump on your own. You’ll learn about the equipment and emergency procedures to prepare you for skydiving. You’ll have two licensed USPA instructors who will guide you through the process. The ground-school takes 4-6 hours to complete before you gear up in your own parachute.
The AFF course is the best method of training if you are interested in jumping with an individual parachute system (The equipment is supplied, included in the price) to become a licensed skydiver. The AFF course is the most advanced skydiving training course offered and is endorsed by the United States Parachute Association (USPA).
On your first AFF Level, you will receive six hours of ground training, followed by the jump utilizing your own equipment and jumping with two USPA certified instructors. Under normal conditions, you will jump the same day as you complete the ground training.
Skydiving Course
The AFF Course/Program is consists of a seven-level jump program. The first three jumps are done with two instructors, one on each side of you. If your instructors feel you demonstrated the ability to complete the maneuvers required of each Level, you will advance to the next Level. The last four jumps of the program are done with one instructor.
After each jump your instructors will debrief you, letting you know what you did right and areas where you can improve your performance in the next Level.
The instructors are there not only to instruct you, but also to help keep you safe. Follow their directions and you’ll be off Student Status before you know it.
What can you expect on your first jump?
After the aircraft reaches altitude (13,000′ AGL), your two instructors grasp your harness on each side as you exit the plane (jump out). All of you accelerate together to over 120 miles per hour for up to 60 seconds in freefall! At your instructor’s direction, you pull the deployment handle and enjoy a breathtaking flight under your own parachute.
The parachute truly flies, and you will steer your canopy during your descent. Via radio communication, we help you guide your parachute and control commands for a safe landing.
After the skydive, you will be critiqued and given a skydiving logbook. As you pass to the next learning level, your instructor will outline the next lesson plan and explain the new objectives.
